Each year, as the NFL draft rolls around, we are inundated with hundreds of mock drafts and “expert” prognostications.
I am not one of those “experts,” and little more than a fan, but what I do know is that the loser of this year’s draft is whatever team ends up using its pick to select Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

Sanders is not a bad quarterback, and he may be a great kid, but he will not live up to the hype. He has decent physical skills, but his decision-making is suspect. After watching his play over the last two years, I would not want my favorite team to use a pick on him.
I had similar feelings about Ryan Leaf, Dan McGwire, Matt Leinart, Carson Palmer, and Caleb Williams as well.
